Job summary

Air Products in Odessa, TX is seeking an Operations Technician to monitor and control nitrogen production, utility systems, compressors, and DCS operations on an 8-hour shift with rotating on-call coverage.

You will perform preventive maintenance, manage water chemistry, read plant logs, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure safety and environmental procedures are followed while supporting a culture of operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Ability to read/understand piping and instrumentation drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Safety-conscious and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks, safety inspections, and plant log readings.
• Maintain water chemistry and online training program requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and inspect work areas for hazards and issues.
• Issue safety work permits and ensure compliance with procedures.
