Job summary

Fort Wayne Metals is seeking a Product Development Technician to support development, refinement, and execution of new products and processes. You will plan, manufacture, and test prototypes to meet internal and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include developing development protocols, working with customers to determine needs, and documenting results while coordinating transfers to production. Strong communication and project-management skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• College coursework towards technical/engineering curriculum or equivalent knowledge.
• 1–2 years experience in manufacturing methods/technologies.

Responsibilities

• Innovate and validate new products and processes in line with Fort Wayne Metals quality systems.
• Develop and execute product development protocols and reports including testing and functional characterization.
• Collaborate with internal departments to deliver innovative solutions for customers.
• Coordinate the transfer of new products to production with training for Process Engineers, Technicians, or Operators.
• Document and compile development activity reports for new products/processes.
