Job summary

Fort Wayne Metals is seeking a Product Development Technician to support development, refinement, and testing of new products and processes. You will plan, manufacture, and test prototypes to meet internal and customer requirements.

The role requires technical coursework and 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, with opportunities to collaborate across departments and engage with customers on development options. Travel to facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• College coursework toward technical or engineering curriculum or equivalent.
• 1–2 years’ experience in manufacturing methods/technologies.

Responsibilities

• Innovate and validate new products and processes per quality systems.
• Collaborate with internal departments to deliver solutions for customer needs.
• Develop and execute product development protocols and tests.
• Engage with customers to determine needs and support quotes.
• Document development activities and compile reports.
• Transfer new products to production with training documents.
• Review feedback from CSAs and Product Managers on specs.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
