Job summary

Heraeus Medevio in Fridley, MN, is seeking a Process Development Engineer III - Nitinol to lead manufacturing process development for medical components. You will guide cross-functional teams to release products to production and apply DOE, pFMEA, DFM, and statistics to drive robust solutions.

This role requires a BS in Engineering, 5+ years (Engineer III) or 2+ years (Engineer II), experience with Nitinol or stainless steel, CAD/CAM tooling, and strong communication across management and shop

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field; other qualifications considered
• 5+ years for Engineer III or 2+ years for Engineer II; degrees may substitute experience
• Experience with Nitinol or stainless steel manufacturing processes
• Experience with laser cutting, shape setting, electropolishing or similar precision manufacturing
• Experience with CAD/CAM software including 3D modeling and print drafting
• Able to make data-driven decisions using statistics
• Experience with process validation, installation qualification, and engineering deliverables
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to varied audiences

Responsibilities

• Participates and/or leads moderate level design, development, and validation of processes for medical devices
• Uses DOE, pFMEA, DFM, and statistics to guide decisions
• Mentors other engineers and collaborates with technicians on the production floor
• Develops and uses process validation protocols and engineering studies
• Communicates across cross-functional teams including senior management
