Job summary

Confluent Medical Technologies in Fremont, CA, is hiring a Staff Thermomechanical Process Development Engineer to lead robust thermomechanical processes for Nitinol medical devices. You will design fixtures, optimize heat treatment, and use DOE to drive data‑driven decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 5+ years of related experience, with SolidWorks and Minitab/JMP skills. You will work across teams to transfer processes to manufacturing and support validation and

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Engineering with at least 5 years of related engineering experience.
SolidWorks modeling and drawing experience.
Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack analysis.
NiTi experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Design high precision fixtures and tooling for thermomechanical processes.
Develop and optimize heat treatment and forming processes for Nitinol components.
Use DOE and statistics to characterize processes and drive improvements.
Transfer developed processes to manufacturing with documentation, training and validation support.
Collaborate with operators, technicians, engineers, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure processes meet requirements.
Support process validation and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
