Job summary

Castelion Corporation in Torrance, CA is seeking a nightshift R&D team lead to own staffing, scheduling, and performance for the Blackbeard program. You will supervise up to 30 technicians across multiple disciplines and hire/develop the team to meet LRIP production goals.

Reporting to the R&D leadership, you will drive continuous process improvement, ensure skill sets are sourced, and maintain tooling and inventory to support on-time flight deliverables for 2026 and beyond.

Qualifications

• 5+ years aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in an associated field.
• 3+ years supervisory or lead technician experience.
• Intimate knowledge of MES software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the majority of nightshift technicians across multiple disciplines at Castelion.
• Hire and develop a team of technicians in support of Castelion LRIP production goals.
• Supervise shop floor activity, including daily schedules and work flow.
• Lead and manage a staff of up to 30 technicians, including performance management.
• Ensure all required skillsets are adequately sourced on the R&D team.
• Maintain tooling and consumable inventory
• Identify and develop training as required from the skills matrix
• Track and execute on deliverables out of the R&D shop.
• Continuous process improvement.
