Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio is seeking a compassionate LPN for crisis care during night shifts in Columbus. You will provide one-on-one bedside nursing for patients in decline, under RN supervision, ensuring comfort, dignity and family support.

The role emphasizes high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with the hospice team to meet patient-centered goals. Prior LPN experience and Ohio license are required.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Ohio.
• CPR certification.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Computer skills to document patient care and services.
• Ability to drive safely in various conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Auto insurance as required by state law.
• Able to pass a background check and a 10-panel drug screen.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach and commitment to hospice care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to hospice patients in homes and facilities.
• Provide one-on-one bedside care for patients experiencing active decline.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to RN and care team.
• Provide comfort-focused care aligned with patient and family needs.
• Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Document patient care and services accurately and promptly.
• Support patients and families with compassion, dignity, and respect throughout end-of-life care.
• Deliver care per hospice standards and patient-centered goals.
