AMOREM is seeking a registered nurse to provide skilled, compassionate home and community-based care to patients with serious illness in North Carolina. The role focuses on pain and symptom management, patient education and support for families, with coordination across physicians and the care team, especially during nights and weekends.

The ideal candidate will work independently, adapt to changing patient needs, and contribute to a respectful end-of-life journey.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted North Carolina RN license.
• Two to three years of nursing experience.
• Active patient contact or nursing refresher in the past 3 years.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Respond promptly to patient, family and team communications.
• Assess patient and family needs and determine clinical response.
• Make patient visits as indicated and needed.
• Provide nursing care per individualized plan of care.
• Assess and manage pain, symptoms, medications and changes in condition.
• Educate patients and caregivers about disease, symptom management, and emergencies.
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
• Update plan of care as condition changes.
• Assess hospice eligibility with AMOREM providers and assist with admission.
• Provide compassionate support at end of life and assist in patient care units as directed.
