Job summary

Amorem is seeking a compassionate registered nurse to provide holistic end-of-life care in the home and community settings in Kentucky. You will assess patient and family needs, implement the plan of care, educate families, and coordinate with the care team to ease symptoms and support decision-making.

The role requires 2–3 years of nursing experience, an active RN license, CPR certification, and the ability to respond promptly while maintaining patient dignity and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services according to the plan of care.
• Coordinate the development of the plan of care with goals defined by the patient/family and the hospice team updating as changes occur.
• Educate patients and family about services.
• Coordinate medication administration, education and assure accuracy.
• Provide emotional support and actively listen to patient and family concerns.
• Respond to questions honestly and realistically and help the patient/family make informed choices.
• Promote independence and responsibility throughout the course of the disease.
• Provide services at the time of death and assist with bereavement follow-up.
• Maintain current knowledge and competency in providing care to terminally ill patients and their families.
