Job summary

West Side Transport Inc. is seeking an Off-Shift Dispatcher in Glenwood, IL to support drivers during evening and overnight hours. You will process messages, share load plans, and maintain ETAs to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires the ability to work Fri–Mon 8:00–19:00, with a focus on calm, professional communication and quick problem solving in a fast-paced environment. Prior dispatch or DOT knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work an off-shift schedule including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and process inbound messages and calls.
• Send load plans and route information to drivers to aid trip planning.
• Maintain accurate ETAs and PTAs in the system.
• Monitor Hours of Service (HOS) availability for assignments.
• Escalate after-hours issues to the on-call manager.
• Document driver communications and handoffs for day shift.
