Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Over six months up to one year of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to provide prompt, friendly customer service.
• Strong arithmetic and cash handling abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and learn their names.
• Weigh postal packages, run meters, and process various mail services.
• Process Western Union orders and send faxes for customers.
• Sell money orders and cash payroll, personal, ADC, and social security checks.
• Sell hunting and fishing licenses.
• Assist customers with dry cleaning where applicable and process bottle refunds.
• Assist customers at registers and in other areas of the store as needed.
• Answer the telephone and use the intercom system following procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and report to work on schedule.
• Work with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
