Job summary

KSON Security Services LLC is hiring Night Watch Officers for Downtown Nashville venues including Jason Aldean's Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, Lainey Wilson's Bell Bottoms Up, Luke's 32 Bridge, and Miranda Lambert's Casa Rosa. The Night Watch works 9:00pm–5:00am or 12:00am–8:00am, patrolling and standing for long periods to safeguard guests, staff, and property.

Training and licensing are part of the role. The position requires staying alert, managing disturbances, and enforcing venue policies.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in security preferred.
• Must attain proper TN security guard license and training.
• Effective communication with guests, team members and management.
• Basic computer skills (Word/Excel/Outlook).

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure the safety and security to guests, team members, and Company assets. Perform Responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures. The Night Watch position has openings for the following shifts: 9:00pm - 5:00am and 12:00am - 8:00am

This position requires patrolling the area and standing for prolonged periods of time. Night Watch should expect to perform at least 75% of their shift from a standing position. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Practice, support, and promote company-wide culture and demonstrate TCRG Service Standards at all times.
• Respond to and assist in all emergencies.
• Patrol assigned area and observe, or stand at assigned post and observe all areas to preserve order among guests, team members, and Company property.
• Respond to all disturbances in order to defuse the situation. Be prepared to become involved in a physical confrontation when necessary. Always remain alert.
• Observe, report, and take action as necessary with all suspicious situations, unusual situations, and with undesirable guests in the venue.
• Comply with all department and Company policies and procedures.
• Document all incidents in detailed reports relating to property, guests, and team members as directed.
• Act as a role model to all Team Members and always present yourself as a credit to the Company and encourage others to do the same.
• Have a working knowledge of applicable laws (Federal, State and local laws), policies and procedures and a working knowledge for enforcement of laws, policies and procedures.
• Promote positive public relations and create an enjoyable atmosphere for all guests.
• Maintain a high level of personal integrity and moral conduct free of any questionable association.
• Ability to provide and create a guest experience that exceeds expectations and builds loyalty.

• Notify a Security Supervisor of any incidents, and area checks.
• Have a working knowledge of safety and emergency protocols.
• Prevent indecent and prohibited behavior, persons annoying other guests, and damage to Company property.
• Warn guests of infractions and assist in ejections from the venue as appropriate.
• Ability to be exposed nightlife environmental factors including but not limited to second-hand smoke, excessive noise, flashing/strobe lights, and stress levels related to interacting with guests in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• When assigned to screening and checkpoints, follow all best practices to ensure the safety of the venue.
• Testify in court as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work will include indoor and/or outdoor areas. Must have the ability to withstand high temperatures, heat and sun exposure.
• Work is typically in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy etc. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. access. Tasks are performed from a non-sitting and sitting position. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp.
• These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area.
• Work may entail trained chemical usage.
• Constant contact with guests and fellow Team Members is required.
• Able to wear and use a portable radio and headset.
• Willing to work in a loud and smoke filled environment.

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years working in the security filed preferred
• Must attain the proper security guard license and training for the state of Tennessee.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
• Working knowledge of the hospitality industry.
• Basic computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
• Must not have been convicted of any crime for which registration is required
