Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials Services in San Antonio, TX seeks a Warehouse Team Lead I to supervise the warehouse floor, coordinate activities, and train staff to meet customer requirements while upholding quality and safety standards.

You will manage up to 15 teammates, ensure safe operations, maintain documentation, and support the Onsite Manager in achieving objectives. This is a safety-sensitive role with pre-employment drug testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekend shifts.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
• Experience in automotive or industrial setting is an asset – training provided.
• Must be comfortable working with scanners and tablets for data keeping and time entries.
• Professional interactions with customers/vendors.
• Must read, write and speak basic English.
• Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspection process and product inspection for assigned tables.
• Lead by example and maintain organization and housekeeping.
• Ensure safety and health policy compliance.
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor.
• Coordinate shift start activities and paperwork.
• Ensure tools and materials are available for on-site work.
• Provide on-the-job training for new instructions.
• Be accountable for personnel on assigned jobs.
• Provide input to Onsite Manager on objectives/completion.
• Report policy/procedure violations to Onsite Manager.
• Support health and safety initiatives.
• Interact with Customer to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation.
