Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Roanoke to lead daily distribution operations with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. You will manage personnel, drive safe and profitable operations, and ensure proper receiving and storage of inbound goods, as well as loading of outbound product.

You will develop teams, supervise performance, and work with management to optimize costs while maintaining service and compliance with food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to create a safety-first warehouse culture.
• Oversee and develop warehouse associates through coaching and training.
• Direct and supervise work and productivity of warehouse associates.
• Interview and hire warehouse personnel with Sr. Warehouse Managers.
• Achieve accurate orders and timely shipping/receiving.
• Monitor performance and coaching to meet productivity and safety targets.
