Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Warehouse Associate to oversee and guide the warehouse crew under supervision, ensure safety, manage shipping/receiving, and maintain production flow. You will perform duties to support efficient operations, while upholding quality standards and safety regulations.

The role requires physical stamina for lifting and multi-temperature environments, teamwork, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with relevant experience.
• Experience in warehouse and/or distribution environment preferred.
• Ability to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer).
• Ability to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Capable of lifting 10–35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Pre-employment drug test required.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and maintain a safe work area.
• Obtain daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
• Wear required PPE and safety gear.
• Perform safety checks on forklifts/pallet jacks.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Assist warehouse crew in emergencies and routine tasks.
• Conduct damage checks on received items and coordinate removal when needed.
• Handle selection, shipping, receiving, forklift put-away/replenishment, returns, auditing, and other duties.
• Provide oversight and input on work performed by associates in assigned area.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain clean loading dock and trailers.
