Job summary

civil-recruit is seeking a Storeroom Attendant for an at-site, long-term temporary assignment in Smyrna, TN. The role covers daily receiving, stocking, issuing and cycle counting, with emphasis on a clean, organized storeroom and dependable performance.

Hours are Sat/Sun 7pm-7am with potential for extra weekday hours. Training will occur Mon-Fri 7am-3pm for one week. Lifting up to 50 lb and safety-minded work are required; forklift experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 3+ months relevant experience and/or training.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn MS-Office, Vista, or similar.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work orders.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team and stay self-motivated to complete tasks.
• Attention to detail and safety mindedness.

Responsibilities

• Unloads, receives and stores incoming product; checks for damage and discrepancies with invoices.
• Sorts, labels, moves and stores items using predetermined sequence; optimizes crib space.
• Issues items to site employees and maintains accurate issued/returned records.
• Enters stock data into a computer system and responds to inquiries about inventory levels.
• Performs cycle counts and prepares inventory reports.
