Qualifications

• Completion of a Unit Secretary course or Medical Terminology course preferred
• 0-2 years of receptionist or secretarial training required

Responsibilities

• Enter orders into the computer system accurately and monitor for shortages.
• Answer phones, manage patient records, schedule appointments, and document in EMR.
• Maintain patient charts and ensure labs, consults, and reports are retrieved promptly.
• Follow consult procedures and assist physicians with labs and patient lists.
• Prioritize tasks and handle STAT orders and urgent needs promptly.
• Greet patients, coordinate admissions, discharges and transfers, and address patient requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
• Adhere to policies and HIPAA privacy standards.
