Job summary

Allied Universal in Burr Ridge, IL is seeking a Security Officer for full-time night shifts. You will serve clients in a utilities location, monitor areas, perform routine patrols, and support access control while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires being 18+ for unarmed positions, possessing a high school diploma or equivalent, and completing background checks and a drug screen as required by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities and perimeter.
• Monitor access, verify visitor/contractor authorization, report unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.
