Job summary

Memorial Hospital of Carbondale is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound and radiography exams, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. The role requires RDMS eligibility or certification and BLS, with a focus on patient communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, adherence to protocols, and effective collaboration with the imaging and clinical staff to support patient care goals.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate program in Radiology/Ultrasound.
• RDMS certification or registry eligibility.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound and radiography exams as appropriate.
• Utilizes PACS and EMR systems.
• Maintains IV/contrast competency as required.
• Adheres to protocols for patient positioning, exposure control and radiation safety.
• Communicates clearly with the care team and patients.
• Cleans and inspects imaging equipment and rooms.
