Memorial Hospital of Carbondale is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound and radiography exams, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. The role requires RDMS eligibility or certification and BLS, with a focus on patient communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, adherence to protocols, and effective collaboration with the imaging and clinical staff to support patient care goals.

Location: Carbondale, IL Shift: Night Time Type: Full Time Facility/Clinic Name: Memorial Hospital of Carbondale

Position Summary

Responsible for performing a variety of duties in relation to imaging patients and ensuring smooth operations of the Ultrasound department while providing appropriate levels of patient care and customer service.

Education

• Associates degree in Radiology/Ultrasound/Ultrasound or Certificate Program in Radiology/Ultrasound

Licenses and Certification

• RDMS registered or registry eligible
• Registry eligible, must have proof of passing ARDMS SPI exam prior to start date and passing score on any one corresponding specialty exam within six months of hire
• RVT within one year of hire required IEMA if required by position
• BLS

Role Specific Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound and radiography exams as appropriate
• Utilizes PACS and EMR systems.
• Maintain appropriate IV/Contrast competency.
• Follows established protocols and procedures for proper patient position, exposure control, and radiation protection.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all involved in the patient care process.
• Cleans and inspects departmental equipment
• Cleans and stocks Imaging rooms.

Compensation

(Commensurate with experience): $34.43 To $53.37
