Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract in our hospital radiology department in Round Rock, TX. Shifts are weekday overnights, 8:30 PM–6:00 AM, with a focus on neuro, general, and MSK imaging.

Candidates must hold ARRT MR or ARMRIT, be BLS certified at hire, and have at least 6 months of recent experience. Multimodality XR/CT and proper licensure are preferred; travel-ready applicants strongly encouraged.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required.
• BLS certification required at hire (AHA or ARC accepted).
• Minimum 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in MRI.
• Multimodality experience in XR or CT preferred.
• Must be a team player able to work independently.
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans for neuro, general body, and MSK imaging.
• Night shift team includes MRI, X-ray, CT, and ultrasound technologists.
• Operate GE Artist 1.5 MRI equipment.
• EMR: Meditech with Fuji Synapse PACS.
• Typical procedures include neuro, general body, and MSK imaging.
• Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 8:30 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Call not required but preferred if willing.
• Dress code requires olive top with black bottoms or all-black scrubs.
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Local candidates will not be considered.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract requiring ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and BLS.

Requirements

• Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required at hire, not expiring within first 30 days of start
• Minimum of 6 months experience within the last 6 months in MRI
• License required if applicable
• Multimodality experience in XR or CT preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based MRI unit located on the 1st floor of the main building
• 209-bed hospital with 1-2 day shift MRI techs and 1 overnight MRI tech
• Overnight shift works alongside an X-ray tech, CT tech, and ultrasound tech
• Equipment includes GE Artis 1.5T MRI scanner
• EMR is Meditech with Fuji Synapse PACS
• Schedule is Friday-Sunday nights, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Call not required but preferred if willing to take call
• Typical procedures include neuro, general body, and MSK imaging
• Perform MRI scans for neuro, general body, and MSK cases
• Team player who can also work independently
• Dress code is olive scrub top with black bottoms, or all black scrubs
• Permanent positions also available on this unit
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
