Job summary

Papa John's Transportation Shift Supervisor will help lead daily transportation operations and cover in the Transportation Manager's absence. You will ensure quality assurance, supervise Delivery Specialists, and maintain safe, efficient loads for multiple restaurants.

This role emphasizes DOT compliance, data-driven process improvement, training, and coordination across departments to ensure timely deliveries. Shift begins 10:00 pm on Sun, Mon, Thurs, Fri.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College education or business management development preferred.
• Minimum two years progressive supervisory experience, preferably in transportation.
• Must have knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and OSHA safety requirements.
• Valid CMV and Class A CDL certifications preferred.
• Working knowledge of onboard computer systems.
• General accounting and payroll experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administrative duties, including payroll, PUC reporting, fuel usage tracking and routing.
• Supervise Delivery Specialists, conduct timely performance reviews and hold regularly scheduled team meetings.
• Assist in training new Delivery Specialists through the SOP Manual, training routes, and proper paperwork procedures.
• Assist in daily transportation activities including backhauling and moving equipment between centers and vendors.
• Ensure DOT regulations (Drug and Alcohol Policy, hours of service) are followed.
• Maintain accurate and complete departmental records.
• Assist in managing fleet and equipment repair and maintenance through service providers.
• Interact with other departments to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
