Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. in Arlington, TX seeks a Fleet/Logistics Supervisor to build driver relationships, optimize loads, coordinate with billing, safety and operations, and maintain a full board of drivers.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (Business Admin, Marketing, or Transportation/Logistics) and 6–12 months supervisory experience, plus strong organizational skills and proficiency with computers and satellite communications.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree (Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics) and/or two to three years of fleet management or transportation experience in the truckload industry preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, proven management ability, and skill in operating a computer terminal and satellite communications system required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships through understanding and meeting driver needs using our operating systems and driver communications.
• Partner with Managers to optimize driver loads based on freight factors and driver availability.
• Interface with multiple departments to support customer and Werner objectives.
• Work with Managers to maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift.
