Job summary

Forward Air is seeking a self-motivated Trailer Mechanic to join the maintenance team in a full-time role. You will maintain trailers, vehicles, and mechanical equipment while complying with FA policies and safety standards.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential as you support high levels of customer service. Responsibilities include evaluating equipment status, performing repairs, and maintaining tools and work areas.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Prior experience with truck, trailer, and/or vehicle repair is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
• Ability to present a positive corporate image in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate mechanical equipment and trailers to determine maintenance needs.
• Perform minor trailer repairs and tire services.
• Use diagnostic tools and hand, electric, and air tools for maintenance.
• Maintain shop area and ensure tools available and in good condition.
• Keep accurate records in Maintenance Software for repairs.
