Paycom is seeking an experienced Terminal Dispatch Supervisor to lead the dispatch and load planning team in a fast-paced terminal environment. You will oversee day-to-day on-site operations, ensure on-time deliveries, and coordinate with drivers, owners, and third-party carriers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of trucking or related transportation logistics management experience
• Experience in management of dedicated fleet operations utilizing owner operators and hired drivers
• Knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations
• Supervisory experience dealing with employees possessing varied skill sets
• Customer service experience preferably dealing with time sensitive delivery of services
• Experience using computerized accounting, billing, inventory, HR, and regulatory compliance software
• Excellent organization skills, with the ability to multitask
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle suitable for business usage

Responsibilities

• Supervise dispatch and load planning staff and daily on-site operations
• Monitor deliveries and manage driver windows to prevent service failures
• Coordinate with receiving locations on delivery schedules and adjust routes as needed
• Plan loads using driver lists and hours reports; match loads to drivers
• Incentivize drivers to take additional loads when unmatched with owner operators
• Assign loads to third party carriers when necessary
• Prepare routing and delivery instructions for drivers and ensure proper orientation
• Support road side repairs and coordinate towing if breakdowns occur
• Coordinate with Back Haul Coordinator to integrate back hauls into plans
• Advise locations of driver ETAs and reroute to avoid service failures
• Maintain reports and enforce safety and conduct policies
• Oversee property and equipment maintenance at the terminal
• Provide flexible scheduling to meet terminal needs
• Perform duties of absent dispatch or load planner staff and other assigned functions
