Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in California is seeking a Telemetry Technician to support patient monitoring during the 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM shift.

You will interpret cardiac rhythms, monitor oxygen saturation and EtCO2, document findings in the EHR, and communicate changes to RNs and MDs.

AHA BLS Healthcare Professional certification is required; a high school diploma or equivalent is needed, and telemetry certification is preferred. This position is covered by the SEIU-UHW collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• AHA BLS Healthcare Professional certification is required.
• EKG competency demonstrated.
• Telemetry certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret patients' cardiac rhythms and oxygen saturations.
• Monitor end-tidal CO2 and report life-threatening changes to the team.
• Document data accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Communicate changes and trends to RNs, MDs and providers.
• Manage central telemetry logs and department resources.
