Job summary

Per diem, night shifts, competitive hourly pay. Responsibilities include direct patient care using the nursing process, coordination with physicians, and adherence to EMTALA and privacy standards to ensure quality patient

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 60 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) in Telemetry.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department; communicate with the physician about changes in condition and diagnostic results.
• Maintain EMTALA compliance and reporting of child/adult abuse; protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
