Job summary

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for 36 hours per week, night shifts on 6 South in Jamaica Plain, MA. The unit is a 37-bed medicine/telemetry teaching unit offering exposure to diverse acute and chronic conditions with advanced telemetry systems and Epic workflows.

Minimum BSN, MA RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS are required; PACU experience and ASPAN CPAN/CAPA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Massachusetts RN Licensure required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PACU experience strongly preferred.
• Preoperative holding and evaluation experience preferred.
• ASPAN CPAN/CAPA certification preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Evidence of basic analytic thinking to care for a group of patients.
• Ability to demonstrate observational skills and set priorities.
• Ability to adhere to ICARE standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for adult patients on a 37-bed medicine/telemetry unit.
• Monitor patients using telemetry and coordinate with care teams.
• Adhere to ICARE standards and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan patient care.
