The role includes 1:6 patient ratio, weekend coverage every other week, and potential floating within a 10-mile radius. Navy blue scrubs specified; travel may involve additional requirements and strict eligibility rules.

Qualifications

• Active PA or Compact RN license.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience.
• 1:6 patient ratio experience.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting.
• Telemetry patient population.
• Patient ratio of 1:6.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15).
• Weekend coverage required every other week.
• Floating within hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed.
• Provide nursing care to telemetry patients on a Med/Surg unit.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• Candidates must be willing to work every other holiday.
• Must reside over 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration.
• Local candidates not accepted.
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years before returning through an agency.
• Travelers who complete a cumulative year of assignments within the health system must take a two-year break before becoming eligible to return.
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed.
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing.
