Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position in a modern hospital setting. The ideal applicant has recent acute care and telemetry proficiency, with an active WI RN license or compact license.

Requirements include BLS (AHA), Epic EMR experience, and a telemetry exam with strong performance. The role involves 1:5 patient care, 3x12-hour nights, and mandatory residence outside a 50-mile radius.

Qualifications

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required (AHA only).
• Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years in med/surg specialty required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict criteria prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an 80% or higher passing score.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit within an acute care hospital setting.
• Patient ratio of 1:5.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
• Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need.
• Floating required as needed.
• Utilizes Epic charting system.
• Provide direct patient care on a med/surg telemetry unit, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• Candidates with three or more years of med/surg experience may be considered without prior travel experience.
