Qualifications

• 1 year of management experience.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas are helpful.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes career paths and development for team members and supports promotion decisions.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Ensure the Meijer Friendly Initiative is communicated in all meetings and conversations.
• Ensure the team is thoroughly trained and spends most of the time in-store delivering exceptional service.
