Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
• Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities to ensure patient care and staff needs are met.
• Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases and appropriate staff skill mix for safe patient care.
• Participates in interviewing and selection of new staff.
• Provides feedback and conducts audits related to documentation and charges.
• Resolves patient complaints and liaises with multidisciplinary care teams.
• Monitors supply usage and costs; maintains fiscal accountability.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital policy.
