About The Role

NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER – CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE - APPLE TREE BUNGALOW

£24,524.50 - £26,526.50 DOE

We are recruiting Night Support Workers to join our newly-established team at our children's care home, Apple Tree Bungalow near Lincoln LN6.

Working Hours: 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM
Shift Pattern: Fixed two-week rolling rota: Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2 – Wednesday and Thursday

About the position:

As a Night Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting young people with complex needs. This challenging role offers rewarding experiences where your daily efforts can have life-changing impacts. Your ambition to support young people will help them reach their potential.

What will you be doing:

• Promoting safeguarding of the young people at the core of your work
• Participating in recreational events within the home and community
• Supporting development of independence skills
• Building positive relationships with young people, offering dignity and respect
• Meeting their physical, emotional, behavioural, and cultural needs
• Maintaining accurate records
• Collaborating with the team to adapt to individual needs
• Contributing to team development

About You

Desired experience and qualifications:

• A genuine passion for care and contributing to others' progression
• A strong team player with initiative
• Resilient with the ability to seek support when needed
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
• Computer literacy
• Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to complete within a set timeframe
