Anticipated Start Date:

Training begins June 2, 2025. Camp sessions will begin June 9

Anticipated End Date (If Applicable):

August 15, 2025. There may be the opportunity for academic year employment.

Anticipated Hours Per Week:

Minimum: 30 hours Maximum:40 hours

Schedule:

Shifts will occur Monday-Friday between 7:45am to 5pm. Each Wednesday, there will be a mandatory staff meeting from 5-5:45p. Vacation time must be request upon hire. Availability and vacation requests are condition of employment.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

$15.00 per hour

Qualifications:

• A desire to work with young children.
• Communicate effectively with people of all ages.
• Valid Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED/FA Certification or ability to obtain prior to first day of camp.
• Successful completion and passing of a certified background and National Sex Offender Registry check.
• Must be able to attend all training dates and Wednesday staff meetings.
• Mandatory training will occur Monday-Friday between June 2 - June 6.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent communication (Participants, Grown-ups, Co-workers, Supervisors).
• Organizational skills (Attendance keeping, Lesson timing).
• Preferred applicants will have experience in youth activities and summer camps AND/OR completed coursework in teaching, Physical Education, Human Development and Family Studies, or related fields.
• This position may count as an internship if needed.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Maintain a safe space for campers, including careful supervision of campers and communicating any safety concerns to camp supervisors.
• Serve as a role model for campers.
• Actively participate with campers in camp activities and conversation.
• Sustain a positive environment at camp, incorporating enthusiasm into all activities.
• Organize and lead small and large group activities.
• Appropriately respond to and mitigate any camper behavioral issues.
• Communicate and interact with youth and adult participants.
• Keep track of time throughout the program.
• Set up and take down activity space.
• Participate in onboarding and youth safety training. Must be available for all training dates June 2 - June 6.
• Engage in weekly staff meetings with the Club & Community Programs team.
• These occur on Wednesdays from 5-5:45p.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to project voice when giving instructions to the group in large, busy spaces with or without
