For this position, this person will be responsible for management and leadership of approximately 20-30 non-exempt employees on a compressed work week night shift in an ISO compliant, class 10 semiconductor fabrication cleanroom. Must be willing to work on a compressed work week schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with equipment and process engineers to provide near term and long term solutions to obtain increased equipment uptime using lean manufacturing discipline.
  • Responsible for operator productivity and efficiency, reviews, quality, yield, training, material movement, area schedule, and problem resolution.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, process and equipment engineering to resolve problems and meet production schedules.
  • Own administrative, development, and coaching for all employees.
  • Work overtime as needed to accomplish the duties and responsibilities required of the job.
  • Hours: 6p-6a; Wed, Thurs, Fri and every other Sat.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, or IE; years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a fab manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and an analytical background.
  • Demonstrated skill and success in supervising operations in a high-tech environment strongly desired.
  • Flexible and able to adjust to changing goals, objectives, company policies and have excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Excellent management skills and experience coaching direct employees for success.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Versatility and ability to work on multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows-based software.
  • Experience with concept and practices of Theory of Constraints, Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and an analytical troubleshooting background highly desirable.
