Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Florence, KY is seeking an Overnight Stocking Team Leader to guide and develop the overnight stocking crew. You will plan, supervise and optimize stocking activities to ensure fast, friendly service and top-notch store presentation.

The role focuses on staffing, training, and implementing strategies to meet sales, service and shrink control targets while maintaining a safe, customer-focused environment. Leadership and mentoring across shifts are essential to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store (meat, bakery, produce, deli); customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root cause issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial information to inform decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day operations within various departments of the store.
• Serves as mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales while ensuring customer needs are met.
• Maintains store appearance with focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs and promote development.
• Promotes succession planning and provides career paths for team members.
