Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking an Overnight Stock Assistant Manager to lead the night stock crew, ensure efficient unloading and stocking, and set up the store for a successful morning shift. You will directly impact product availability, store appearance, and the customer shopping experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years of related experience. You will manage ordering, inventory accuracy, and train new team members in stocking and customer service during overnight

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to five years of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set and uphold department standards for customer service, cleanliness, sanitation, team relations, and profitability.
• Supervise overnight stock crew, assign duties, monitor productivity, and conduct check-ins with crew members.
• Oversee ordering from the warehouse including pre-orders for grocery and supplies, coordinating with assistant managers.
• Review and maintain the RPM system, inventory setup, understock and backstock management, triggers, and order review.
• Unload trucks, break down pallets, sort items by aisle, and check vendor deliveries.
• Train new employees on stocking, facing, order tags, UPCs, register operation, customer service, and department services.
