Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc. is seeking an Overnight Stocker to join the overnight crew, ensuring shelves are stocked, organized, and ready for customers each morning. You will unload trucks, rotate stock for freshness, and keep the backroom orderly while supporting a fast-paced team environment.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, the ability to follow instructions, basic math skills, and reliable teamwork. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with up to six months of related experience

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Use basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy overnight shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and helping them find what they need.
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along any feedback or requests to the team.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves, rotate product for freshness, and ensure backroom organization.
• Monitor for mis-picked items, product outs, and wrong deliveries, reporting issues promptly.
• Organize stock for efficiency and restock damaged items as needed.
• Tag shelves with overstock in the back room and assist with system input where required.
• Work with teammates to ensure a smooth, efficient overnight operation.
• Maintain Hy-Vee dress code, hygiene standards, and company policies.
