Job summary

Bear Creek is seeking a dedicated Groomer to help create a safe, high-quality snow surface for guests. You will groom all slopes and tubing areas, operate heavy equipment, and coordinate with the Grooming Manager to overcome challenges.

The role requires overnight shifts and a strong focus on guest experience and safety. You will also participate in snowmaking tasks, slope maintenance, and ensuring equipment is properly cared for.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment; snowcat experience preferred.
• Able to climb in and out of the machines safely.
• Shift is overnight.
• Availability during peak operating times, i.e.: weekends, holidays and special events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and groom all slopes, trails and tubing park.
• Coordinate and communicate grooming needs and challenges to the Grooming Manager.
• Move snowmaking equipment as needed (e.g., snow guns).
• Assist with start-up and shut down of snowmaking equipment.
• Assist with slope and trail maintenance including tree trimming, brush clearing as needed.
• Maintain and return tools after use; keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with snow removal and unloading at times.
• Report any equipment repairs to supervisor.
• Work a seated position for an entire shift.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
