Job summary

Bear Creek Mountain Resort is seeking a dedicated Snowmaker to join the snowmaking team. The role focuses on creating safe, high-quality snow while collaborating with the groomers and other departments to support a memorable guest experience.

The ideal candidate will operate snow guns, maintain equipment, and comply with safety standards, working nights and weekends as needed to ensure optimal snow coverage across the slopes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 6 months of mechanical and/or electrical experience preferred.
• Must possess a current driver’s license.
• Availability during peak operating times (weekends/holidays).

Responsibilities

• Set up snow guns and hoses, weighing in excess of 100 lbs.
• Operate start-up and shut down of snow guns.
• Maintain snow gun areas clear of skier traffic with markers.
• Ensure snow is directed away from lifts, woods, and buildings.
• Maintain slope and trail equipment and lighting assets.
• Attend in-house or off-site snowmaking trainings.
• Coordinate with other departments and groomers for snowmaking activity.
• Monitor quality of snow and adjust operations accordingly.
• Assist with lifting, loading, and unloading material.
• Support special events and related snowmaking tasks.
