Job summary

Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Night Site Safety Manager in New York City, NY. This role focuses on implementing OSHA-compliant safety policies, leading safety personnel, and training site managers and employees in fire safety and chemical handling.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or related field, 10–20 years of construction experience, and OSHA 30-hour certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or related field is required.
• 10-20 years of general construction experience.
• OSHA 30 hour training is required.

Responsibilities

• Implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA rules.
• Monitor effectiveness of the safety management system and progress against standards.
• Lead and provide functional management for safety personnel.
• Plan and implement safety training for site managers and employees.
• Inspect facilities to detect hazards and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure prompt alerting of significant accidents and incidents.
• Compile and submit accident reports to regulatory agencies.
• Produce safety management reports on a set schedule.
• Review incident reports and identify trends to prevent recurrence.
• Meet regularly with safety personnel to monitor management of safety.
