Job summary

A leading construction safety firm is seeking a Construction Safety Manager based in New York City. The ideal candidate will possess a NYC DOB Site Safety Managers License and at least 10 years of construction safety management experience. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining safety documentation. Qualifications

• Must possess NYC DOB Site Safety Managers License.
• Completion of 30-Hour OSHA course is required.
• 40-Hour Site Safety Course Certificate is necessary.
• 62-Hour Supervisor SST Card is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily site safety inspections and audits.
• Conduct safety orientations for workers.
• Compile reports per company policies.
• Ensure compliance with NYC safety regulations.
• Investigate accidents and complete required paperwork.
• Liaise with OSHA and other agencies.
• Develop safety presentations.
• Ensure preplanning of all construction activities.
• Coach workers on hazard identification.
• Maintain safety documentation.

Skills

Proficient communication skills in English

Practical knowledge of OSHA-CFR 1926

Working knowledge of OSHA & other regulatory agency laws

Accident investigation experience

Knowledgeable of various construction trades

Proficient computer skills

Ability to read and interpret drawings
