Job summary

Community Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Youth Advocate for the SAIL Program in a part-time, temporary capacity working with young adults aged 18-23.

The role focuses on building life skills, safety, and relational support in a strength-based environment, with the flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed. The position requires a bachelor’s degree with related experience or an associate’s degree with two years of youth work, a valid driver's license, and a COVID-19 vaccination or negative

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least six months of experience or a bachelor’s degree, or an associate’s degree plus 2 years of experience working with youth.
• Experience may be substituted for education.
• Must be willing to learn and implement strengths based, relational, trauma-informed, gender responsive and culturally competent approaches.
• Knowledge of Spanish in oral and written communication is desired.
• Valid driver's license.
• COVID19 vaccination or a negative test prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce the strengths-based, trauma-informed program philosophy with residents.
• Support residents in developing daily living skills and personal growth.
• Collaborate with the team to address each resident's goals and needs.
• Encourage and motivate residents; recognize positive behaviors.
• Apply the program's Tier system to promote pro-social behavior and accountability.
• Provide proper documentation and complete required logs/reports.
