Job summary

Community Solutions is looking for a part-time Youth Advocate for the SAIL Program in Meriden, CT. This position focuses on supporting young adults aged 18-23 in developing life skills and navigating challenges in a trauma-informed environment.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a passion for helping youth. The role includes key responsibilities like implementing daily living skills and providing essential emotional support.

Compensation starts at $19.75/hr with additional shift differentials, and ongoing training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least six months of experience or relevant experience substitution.
• Must implement strengths based, relational, trauma-informed methods.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Establish a safe, strength-based environment for young adults.
• Support individual growth and daily living skills.
• Encourage and motivate residents, redirect when needed.
• Complete logs and reports as required.
• Ensure residents' nutritional requirements are met.
