Job summary

Community Solutions, Inc. (CSI) seeks an energetic Youth Advocate for the SAIL Program in Meriden, Connecticut. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or those starting new career paths in Human Services.

As a Youth Advocate, you will help young adults navigate challenges while fostering a supportive environment. Responsibilities include motivational support, documentation, and ensuring nutritional needs are met.

The position offers a wage of $19.75/hr with benefits including 401(k) plan and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with at least six months of experience, or an Associate's degree plus 2 years’ experience working with youth.
• Must be willing to learn and implement strengths-based, relational, trauma-informed, gender-responsive and culturally competent approaches.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provides positive role modeling for residents at all times.
• Works closely with each resident to support their individual growth and development.
• Implements and provides documentation for the program’s behavior motivation system.
