Job summary

GE Vernova in Grand Forks, ND seeks a Manufacturing Specialist to perform closing steps for wind turbine blade production. You will follow work instructions, operate cranes and tools, and work a Mon-Fri night shift from 10:00 pm to 2:30 am.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and prior manufacturing experience, preferably with blades or composites. The role requires lifting up to 40 lbs, standing on concrete, and respirator use; base pay ranges $22.88-$27.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work with heavy equipment.
• Experience with wind turbine blades or composites preferred.
• Must wear a respirator and follow safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform closing tasks following work instructions.
• Wear PPE and follow safety instructions regarding chemicals.
• Remove infusion bag from shells using crane.
• Transport shells between molds using crane.
• Repair, cut and grind laminate defects.
• Prepare shells for closure and clean debris.
• Apply glue to flanges and web; crane the mold to close.
• Attach root ring and fasten with bolts after molding.
