Job summary

GE Vernova in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a manufacturing associate to perform cut and grind tasks on wind turbine blade components following strict work instructions. Qualifications

• Ability to lift or carry objects up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull heavy objects.
• Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Ability to work with hands for an extended period.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Requires wearing of respirator.

Responsibilities

• Perform cut and grind tasks following work instructions
• Wear all personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety instructions regarding chemical usage
• Scuff laminate surface, cut off any extra flange and dried glass along the edge of the blade
• Apply glue to any area with glue voids
• Perform repairs to defects inside the blade (confined space)
