Job summary

GE Vernova is hiring for a wind blade manufacturing support role in Grand Forks, ND. The role focuses on performing closing tasks for shells, operating cranes to move heavy components, and ensuring safety procedures are followed during chemical handling and PPE use.

Candidates should be able to lift 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and work both independently and as part of a team. Prior manufacturing experience, especially with wind blades or composites, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Willingness to wear a respirator.
• High School Diploma/GED or related experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, especially in wind/turbines or composites.

Responsibilities

• Perform closing tasks following work instructions.
• Wear PPE and follow safety procedures for chemical usage.
• Operate crane to move shells and equipment.
• Repair, cut and grind laminate defects in shells.
• Prepare shells for closure and apply components/adhesives as instructed.
• Close moulds with glue on flanges and web; ensure secure fastening.
• Remove and secure root plates and rings after mould closure.
