Qualifications

• Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to understand, troubleshoot and repair WWTP equipment.
• Basic welding skills, basic electrical repair capabilities, pipe fitting ability and pneumatics knowledge.
• Will be required to obtain necessary operator licenses as required by state or federal regulations.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot and repair equipment within the Waste Water Treatment Facility to ensure proper treatment.
• Maintain a clean, safe working area and follow safety practices to stay OSHA compliant.
• Monitor and use preventive maintenance schedules; perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Assist with cleaning, lifting, and handling of chemicals; comply with safety data sheets.
• Support night-shift operations and observe plant activities as needed.
