Job summary

Sysco Corp. in Front Royal, VA is hiring for a Night Shift Warehouse Associate responsible for unloading and loading product from trailers using certified equipment and PWMs.

You will work in freezer/cooler environments, meet safety standards and productivity goals, and ensure accurate handling and traceability of goods. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of warehouse experience, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision, management and co-workers.
• Must be able to observe and communicate observations to equipment operators.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound trailer for cleanliness prior to unloading and report unsanitary conditions to supervisor.
• Communicate inbound load, product, or pallet issues to supervisor.
• Unload inbound foodservice product, supplies or equipment onto the dock using PWMs and MHE.
• Reconfigure inbound pallets to meet storage requirements.
• Verify temperatures on inbound loads and follow PWMs for out-of-range temps.
• Apply shrink wrap to pallets to secure for delivery and storage.
• Inspect and clean trailers prior to loading.
• Check for shortages, damage or quality issues and report to supervisor.
• Load product onto trucks according to truck mapping and PWMs to ensure load stability and driver safety.
• Operate MHE safely and perform daily equipment inspections.
• Adhere to all safety rules and company policies.
